Mike Walti is a third generation Bay Area native. His
grandfather, Paul Walti, was a an Irish Tenor out of San Francisco and
a collector of microphones and recording equipment so Mike could not
help but to follow in his footsteps. Mike began recording local bands
and his own compositions at the age of thirteen. Years later in 2002
he decided to take his recording techniques to the next level and
enrolled at Ex'pression Center for New Media in Emeryville. Fourteen
months later he emerged with close to a perfect GPA, tons of praise
from the
teaching staff, and an BA in sound arts. Soon after graduation he
began an internship at FM Recorders in 2006 and within one year he was
Head Engineer and Studio Manager.

Doctors, Dayna Stephens, Smith Dobson, David Boyce, Lee
Bloom, Ka, Marcus Shelby,
Mitch Marcus, Grachan Moncur, Sameer Gupta, Howard Wiley, Tommy McElroy and Denzil Foster, Carl
Wheeler, Hal Stein, Patrick Korte,
Immigrant, Kev Choice, Spice 1, Mike

Other projects that Mike has been involved in include scoring and doing
sound design for several commercials and documentaries including Apple
IPod, Got Milk, Canon, AMPM, Hard Times, The Wild, and many others.
Mike also has done live sound for such groups as Lauren Hill, The Spin
Doctors, The Crown City Rockers and also has done live recordings of
The Wombats, Kiosk, Somehow At Sea, and others. Mike is also a
musician and producer and plays several instruments including bass,
drums, percussion, mpc, turntables, charango, ukulele, and guitar. His
expertise in tracking, mixing, and producing makes him extremely
versatile in any and all studio situations.
